2008 MX SEASON UPDATE

PROVINCIAL MX SERIES

At the 2007 AGM it was decided that:

All classes with less than 5 riders will still run (split start with a compatible class) and the riders will still receive points. Trophies, dirtbucks or cash payout will not be awarded. However, Royal Distributing has provided Alberta with gift cards that will be handed out to riders, including those in classes with less than 5 entries, throughout the season.

125 Pro, 250 Pro, ATV Pro, ATV Pro Am, GP Pro Am and Vet Master will remain as cash payout classes, however, Youth, Plus 40, MX1 And MX2 Intermediate will be awarded with dirtbucks or trophies.

For the classes that receive dirtbucks and trophies, if there are 5 to 9 entries, awards will be given for 1st through 3rd place and if there are 10 or more entries, awards will be given for 1st through 5th place.

SOAB SPRING & FALL MX SERIES

New for 2008 is the ATV Sportsman class to be run with the ATV Beginners (split start). This class will accommodate riders who are ready to move out of the ATV Mini class but are not ready or old enough for the ATV Beginner class.

Liquid cooled machines are permitted in the ATV Mini Stock, ATV Mini Modified and the ATV Sportsman classes.

There are ADRA amended ATV rules. For details go to ADRA Provincial News on the homepage of www.albertadirtriders.com

ONE EVENT LICENSES

New for 2008 are one event licenses. The one event license is for racers who will be racing one event only. The cost is $40.00 ($30.00 AD&D plus $10.00 CMRC processing fee). If a racer happens to attend another event he or she may purchase another one event license, however, one event license purchases cannot be used to upgrade to a full license.
