I have spoken with most of our members and our club does not feel we can put on a quality race this season since the fire. Our resources are spread too thin, some key board members have lost their homes. We hope the ADRA and all in our racing community understand the awkwardness of our situation and we hope to rejoin the Provincial Series again in 2012.

Offroadmotorcycles.ca named CMRC's Official Source of Off-Road News
Offroadmotorcycles.ca is proud to announce our new level of cooperation with the CMRC as their official source for off-road motorcycling news. The CMRC, through World Enduro Canada, has been instrumental in the skyrocketing interest in off-road competition seen across Canada in recent years. The Royal Distributing Canadian Enduro Championship, presented by Parts Canada, has helped usher in a period of progression for off-road racing with unprecedented industry support. Offroadmotorcycles.ca is honoured to have played a role in it.
"The CMRC recognizes offroadmotorcycles.ca as the best source for Canadian off-road motorcycling news," CMRC President Mark Stallybrass said. "We are very enthused to join together with Dan Paris and the offroadmotorcycles.ca team to help increase the awareness of the various types of events, and encourage riders of all disciplines to participate in off-road events."
Offroadmotorcycles.ca Editor-in-Chief, Dan Paris states, "Over the years as a moto-journalist I've come to understand and respect the CMRC motocross promoters and their forward way of thinking. They've weathered the storm and brought motocross in Canada, along with Canadian Pro Motocross racers, to an international level of credibility."
Paris continues, "With the CMRC and WEC working hand in hand to expand the national enduro series, as well as promote a new national cross-country championship, these are very exciting times to be an off-road racer, enthusiast or journalist! New variations of the sport, including Endurocross-type races and XSprint, are popping up across the country and gaining recognition through offroadmotorcycles.ca. World Enduro Canada is also promoting a successful WEC National Trials Championship, while the Quebec branch of the CMRC is proud to announce a new CMRC Endurocross (Cross Country) provincial championship. The CMRC has also been actively promoting exciting cross-country and even ice racing in Western Canada, as well as dirt track race...basically all the things we think are fun! We'll be cooperating with leading motocross magazine MXP as well, coordinating our efforts on stories of mutual interest."
What does that mean to offroadmotorcycles.ca's readers and advertisers? Basically, we're growing. But don't worry, we'll always have our laid-back attitude and love for all aspects of dirt bike racing and recreation; it's just that we will now be working more closely with the biggest national sanctioning body and the biggest Canadian motocross magazine. We'll keep reporting on motorcycles, products and events just as we always have, independently and in our fun and honest way. It also means it will be easier than ever to follow offroadmotorcycles.ca either directly on our website, through our Twitter and Facebook links and through new links with the CMRC, WEC and MXP websites.
Offroadmotorcycles.ca's Manager of Advertising and Promotions, Carrie Homenuck, adds, "As offroadmotorcycles.ca continues to gain national momentum you'll still be reading features from your favourite offroadmotorcycles.ca writers, along with a 'who's-who' of well-known new contributors! We will also be implementing some fresh new ideas over the next few months, all with the goal of better serving our readers and advertisers across Canada and around the world. Thanks for reading!"

The ADRA has added a new class, ATV Junior, to the Provincial, SOAB Spring & Fall and the ATV Triple Crown Series. ATV Jr. will be for riders that are no longer Beginner and not yet Intermediate. A rider will be moved automatically to the ATV Jr. class once he/she has accumulated 12 advancement points in the ATV Beg. class or a rider can move him/herself up anytime prior to acquiring the 12 advancement points by advising the ADRA office. Once moved up a rider cannot move back. It is the riders responsibility to ride in the correct class for their skill level. The new ATV Jr. class will be a recognized class, therefore, Series trophies and prizes will be awarded.
ATV Beginner will no longer be a recognized class, therefore no Series trophies and prizes will be awarded. Trophies will be awarded at each event throughout the season. Please note that the ATV Beg. class will receive Series trophies and awards for the 2010 SOAB Spring Series because the decision to not recognize ATV Beg. was made after the Spring Series started.

ATTENTION RIDERS
There have been some changes made regarding the Provincial MX Series. Mark Stallybrass of CMRC has decided to host two one day provincials on June 12 and June 19 at the Pro Nationals in Edmonton and Calgary. These events will run a modified provincial schedule. The modified schedule will not include ATV's or Pros. Click here for the Edmonton schedule, and here for the Calgary schedule. Two of the Triple Crown ATV races scheduled (June 12 - Westlock & June 19 - Taber) will be held on the same dates as the 1 day Provincial races. These two Triple Crown races will now be considered part of the Provincial series for the ATV's. Provincial Series points as well as Triple Crown points will be awarded for the recognized ATV provincial classes.
We apologize for any conflict that this might incur.

Top End Promotions Inc. (Gerry and Heather Nelson) have been hosting the Western Canadian Amateur National Motocross Championships (WCAN) at Temple Hill Motorcycle Park since its inception in 1998. The time has come, Gerry and Heather have decided to retire from the event. In doing so they want to thank the riders, sponsors, volunteers, the Lethbridge Motorcycle Club and the Over the Bars Club, who all have helped over the past 12 years to make this event a reality and the highlight of each racing season. The annual event gave Temple Hill Motorcycle Park the recognition it deserved as one of the top ranked tracks in Canada.
To that end, to continue the legacy of Temple Hill and in the spirit of a Club atmosphere, the Lethbridge Motorcycle Club and the Over the Bars Club are excited to announce that together, they are taking over the management and hosting of the Western Canadian Amateur National Motocross Championships, starting this year with the 13th Annual WCAN, June 30, July 1-3, 2010.
Watch the event website www.cdnmx.com for updates and for information on Temple Hill Motorcycle Park and the happenings with the Lethbridge Motorcycle Club check out www.cdnmx.com/lmc. See you at the race's!
